Secretary Tom Vilsack testified at an oversight hearing on Department of Agriculture programs. Much of the hearing was focused on a new Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) clean water rule that gives federal agencies the authority to protect some streams, wetlands, and tributaries under the Clean Water Act. Secretary Vilsack said his agency was working to assess its impact. Several committee members focused on projects in their districts. close
