Out of Sight
Erik Loomis talked about his book Out of Sight: The Long and Disturbing Story of Corporations Outsourcing Catastrophe, in which he argues that the working conditions that existed in the U.S. in the early 20th Century are the same conditions that currently exist in the countries that make our consumer goods. In his book, he says that there is a thread that runs between the 1911 Triangle Shirtwaist Factory fire in New York and the 2013 Rana Plaza factory collapse in Bangladesh. close
