President Obama and United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon spoke to reporters following a meeting at the White House. They talked about some of the issues they discussed which included climate change. President Obama called for an urgent world response and said that the U.S. would continue to press other countries to take action in the lead-up to the U.N. Climate Change Conference later that year in Paris. Secretary General Ban Ki-moon complimented President Obama on the power plant emissions plan he announced the previous day. They also commented on millennial goals and the military conflicts in Syria, Yemen, Libya, and South Sudan. close
