Officials from the Red Cross, the Small Business Administration, Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), the Government Accountability Office (GAO), and the private sector testified at a hearing on post-disaster issues for small businesses such as economic recovery, agency coordination, and delivery efficiency. This roundtable was held by Committee Chair David Vitter (R-LA), recognizing the tenth anniversary of Hurricane Katrina. Senator Vitter also discussed his legislation designed to help small businesses recover more quickly after a major disaster. close
