Stanton Hudson gave a tour of the site where Vice President Theodore Roosevelt became the 26th President of the United States following the death of President William McKinley. After the assassination of President McKinley in 1901, then Vice President Theodore Roosevelt was rushed from the Adirondack Mountains to the home of Ansley Wilcox in Buffalo, New York, where he learned that President McKinley had died.

C-SPAN’s Local Content Vehicles (LCVs) made a stop in their “2015 LCV Cities Tour” in Buffalo, New York, from August 8-14 to feature the history and literary life of the community. Working with the Time Warner Cable local affiliate, they visited literary and historic sites where local historians, authors, and civic leaders were interviewed. The history segments air on American History TV (AHTV) on C-SPAN3 and the literary events/non-fiction author segments air on Book TV on C-SPAN2. close
