New Orleans Mayor Mitch Landrieu spoke at a National Press Club luncheon about the tenth anniversary of Hurricane Katrina. He discussed his city’s renewal and economic recovery work over the preceding decade, and continuing efforts to restore the city and its people. He said he would like New Orleans to serve as “the beacon of the New South.” Following his speech, Mayor Landrieu responded to questions submitted by members of the audience. close
