Former U.S. President Jimmy Carter discussed his cancer diagnosis. He said that melanoma which first occurred in his liver had spread to his brain, and that he would begin treatment that day. He also took questions from reporters at the Carter Center in Atlanta, and talked about his plans for the future. President Carter said he trusted his doctors and would follow their advice for treatment, and that he was at ease. He spoke about his accomplishments and regrets in life. close
