Ambassador Samantha Power spoke to reporters following the United Nations Security Council’s first-ever meeting on LGBT rights and the acts of abuse and violence committed by ISIS* against LGBT people in the Middle East region. She was joined by Subhi Nahas, a Syrian refugee and LGBT advocate who spoke before the Security Council.
