Michael Bender talked about the Democratic National Committee’s summer meeting that was held that weekend to prepare for the 2016 election campaigns. A video clip was shown of former Governor Martin O’Malley (D-MD), a candidate for the 2016 Democratic presidential nomination, speaking August 28, 2015. He also discussed the latest polling numbers which on the Democratic side showed Hillary Clinton in the lead in Iowa but Senator Bernie Sanders ahead in New Hampshire while presidential candidate Donald Trump led in Republican polls.
