Shelley Rigger, the Political Science Department chair at Davidson College, delivered remarks on Taiwan’s independence efforts. She addressed the nation’s relations with China and previewed the 2016 elections. She is the author of Why Taiwan Matters: Small Island, Global Powerhouse.

This was the luncheon address of “Strait Talk: Taiwan’s 2016 Elections and the United States,” a day-long forum at the Center for Strategic and International Studies which was co-sponsored by the Brookings Institution Center for East Asia Policy Studies. close
