President Obama chaired a meeting with world leaders at the United Nations on ongoing efforts to combat the threat of ISIS* militants in the Middle East, Europe, and beyond. The president said success was only possible if Syrian President Bashar al-Assad were removed from power. Other participants included British Prime Minister David Cameron, King Abdullah of Jordan, and leaders from Iraq, Turkey, Italy, and the Netherlands.
