At the second White House astronomy night President Obama announced new private-sector commitments to his “Educate to Innovate” campaign to inspire students to excel in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields. At the event students, teachers, astronomers, engineers, scientists, and space enthusiasts gathered for an evening of stargazing and other exhibits and activities. Attendees included Senator Bill Nelson, Jamie Hyneman and Adam Savage from MythBusters, NASA Administrator Charlie Bolden, and Bill Nye. close
