Democratic presidential candidate Governor Bill Clinton and his running mate Senstor Al Gore spoke to a campaign rally on the morning after the final presidential candidates debate. Speaking from a festooned platform set up at an intersection in downtown Chicago, several politicos introduced the candidates by lauding the impending victory of Governor Clinton and Senator Al Gore. The audience carried blue and white Clinton pennants. Senator Gore spurred a response from the enthusiastic crowd by describing two scenarios for the morning after election day, one grim due to a Bush victory and one hopeful due to a Clinton victory. Governor Clinton, arising to the rostrum to the tune of “We Will Rock You,” criticized the Bush administration’s economic policies and called for change in America. close
