Professors James Bennett of George Mason University and Thomas DiLorenzo of Loyola College Maryland, authors of the book, "Official Lies: How Washington Misleads Us", spoke on the government’s use of the media to create public support for their policies. They discussed the process through which the administration produces and pays for propaganda, and the amount and scope of issues covered in publications and films created by the federal government. Following their remarks the authors took questions from the members of the audience gathered at the Cato Institute. close
