The committee heard testimony from several researchers and a former Soviet general on American POW/MIAs from the Vietnam and Korean Wars. The hearing was the second of a two-part series of hearings on the topic. Gen. Dmitri Volkogonov, Co-Bureau Chief, U.S.-Russian Commission POW/MIA’s, testified on the findings of the U.S.-Russian Joint Commission on POWs. The Russian general’s remarks were delivered in Russian and were translated by an interpreter seated next to him at the hearing. close
