President Bush spoke at a ceremony to mark the presentation of the national Thanksgiving turkey. He talked about the spirit of the Thanksgiving holiday. The president granted the turkey an official presidential pardon, and told the audience of elementary school children that its fate was to live out the rest of its years at a Virginia children’s farm. President Bush posed for pictures with the turkey after the prepared remarks. close
