The committee heard testimony from attorneys and judicial scholars on the Criminal Justice Act, legislation that provides indigent defendants in federal courts with attorneys. The committee sought to hear input on the legislation, which has not been modified since its inception in 1964. Prior to the hearing, Judge Prado spoke in an interview on the activities of the committee. close
