Dr. Sullivan responded to questions from reporters in the White House driveway following a meeting he attended with President Bush and Agriculture Secretary Madigan. The meeting was called to discuss food labelling regulations, intended to better inform the consumer on the content of food, which Secretary Madigan objected to on the grounds that additional labelling would confuse the consumer. Dr. Sullivan said President Bush would make the final decision on the matter. close
