Members of the Senate Select Committee on POW/MIA Affairs responded to questions from reporters after meeting with President George H.W. Bush at the White House about their recent trip to Vietnam. Senator John Kerry (D-MA) said members of the committee agreed that Vietnamese overtures for aiding the investigation into missing POW/MIAs in Southeast Asia deserved some reciprocation on the part of the U.S., not necessarily normalization of relations with Vietnam. The Senators also answered questions from the press. close
