Gary Hart News Conference
Immediately following a campaign speech at Dartmouth College, Gary Hart answers reporters' questions. He had recently met with his wife for the first time since the Florida stories about Donna Rice emerged. He discussed the Bimini incident and the stakeout of his home by reporters. He was asked by a reporter whether or not he had committed adultery. After repeating that he had engaged only in activities from which the wrong conclusion could be drawn, he called for fairness on the part of the press in writing about him. At the end, he implied that his political foes were trying to ruin his presidential chances. close
