A coalition of trucking, automobile manufacturers, and other political lobbying associations offered their concerns regarding a proposed increase in the national tax on gasoline. The coalition presented their argument that a gasoline tax has greater impact on citizens with lower incomes and who live in more rural areas. Following opening remarks the speakers took questions from the audience. Citizens for Tax Justice sponsored the event which took place at the National Press Club in Washington D.C. close
