The subcommittee heard testimony from Foreign Minister Silajdzic on the current situation in the former Yugoslavia, where military conflict between ethnic groups has been continuing since 1992. He spoke on the cost of the conflict to Bosnia and other states in terms of lives and damage to the country’s infrastructure.
