Sen. Bentsen and President Clinton appeared together to introduce a program to encourage business growth by easing the credit market. Sen. Bentsen spoke first about the how the plan fits in with the rest of the President’s economic plans and then he left the stage after introducing President Clinton.}President Clinton spoke about how the program will help small businessmen, increase jobs, and improve the economy. He talked about the importance of small businesses to the United States economy and culture. The president referred to charts and tables to emphasize his points.
