Witnesses testified before the House Ways and Means Subcommittee on Trade about supplemental agreements to the North American Free Trade Agreement. If ratified by Canada, Mexico, and the United States, the treaty would create the largest trading block in the world. Supporters claimed that it would improve the economies of all three nations. Opponents to the treaty claimed that it would siphon jobs out of the United States. This is the first part of the hearings. close
