Representatives of the Clinton administration and legislators participated in a town meeting with college students around the nation on the national service initiatives proposed by the Clinton administration. President Clinton proposed creating a system through which college students repay their college loans by participating in community or social service programs after their graduation. College students in the town meeting voiced their opinions in panels to the legislators and administrators on how such a program ought to be structured. close
