The tenth panel of the first meeting of President Bill Clinton’s Task Force on National Health Care Reform convened at George Washington University in Washington D.C. The task force heard testimony from a panel of labor leaders and representatives on proposals to better incorporate health care and insurance costs in the American business environment, and how to maintain coverage for workers in an economically unstable world. Vice President Al Gore, though not a member of the panel, chaired the meeting in the absence of First Lady Hillary Clinton. close
