The participants of this forum discuss subjects such as, statewide school restructuring in Kentucky, improving school achievement and job skills in California, and youth serving the community in Boston. After the each participant spoke separately, they answered questions from the audience as a group. Participants included David Gergen of US News and World Report; Albert Shanker, President of the American Federation of Teachers; Richard Riley, Secretary of Education under President Clinton; Representative William Goodling (R-Pennsylvania; Matilda Cuomo, wife of New York governor Mario Cuomo, and Chairman of the New York State Mentoring Program. close
