At the National Press Club, Representatives of the Coalition on Superfund program who are the administrators of chemical companies, spoke in a news conference to call for reforms in the Superfund program. The Superfund program is a government and industry effort to prioritize the nation’s hazardous waste areas and coordinate the operations to clean them up. John Johnstone called for reforms to the Superfund program to be the administration’s number one environmental priority, to speed up the cleanup of hazardous waste areas and ensure that the most urgent hazardous waste problems are being worked on. close
