Russian President Boris Yeltsin discussed political and media issues with Russian media executives and newspaper editors. They focused on the upcoming national referendum to be held on April 25. Voters will be asked whether they have confidence in President Yeltsin, whether they support early elections for the president and the parliament, and whether they support President Yeltsin’s economic reforms. President Yeltsin called for the referendum to settle a power dispute between his administration and the Congress of People’s Deputies.
