Margaret Low Smith introduced the afternoon session of a day-long series of panel discussions on race relations and criminal justice. Then Equality Fund program director Leslie Gross-Davis provided remarks on the efforts of her organization.

“Remarks from the Open Society Foundations” was part of the day-long event, “Race and Justice in America: An Atlantic Summit,” held in the Lincoln Theatre in Washington, D.C. It was inspired by the October 2015 cover story, “The Black Family in the Age of Mass Incarceration,” by Ta-Nehisi Coates. close
