A family discussed an encounter with the Washington, D.C., police and the subject of racial profiling. Kelly Amis showed a clip of her documentary film, Think of Calvin, which chronicled the incident.

Think of Calvin: One Family’s Story” was part of the day-long event, “Race and Justice in America: An Atlantic Summit,” held in the Lincoln Theatre in Washington, D.C. It was inspired by the October 2015 cover story, “The Black Family in the Age of Mass Incarceration,” by Ta-Nehisi Coates. close
