Senator David Vitter (R-LA) conceded the Louisiana gubernatorial race to his opponent, Democratic State Representative John Bel Edwards, in the state’s runoff election. In his speech, Senator Vitter announced he would not seek re-election to the Senate in 2016, saying he had reached his own “personal term limit” and was looking forward to the next chapter in his life. He spoke to supporters in the Hilton Airport Hotel in Kenner, Louisiana.
