Ben Rawlence talked about his book, City of Thorns: Nine Lives in the World’s Largest Refugee Camp, about life in Dadaab Refugee Camp in northern Kenya. The camp, the largest in the world, houses 350,000 refugees from Somalia. The Kenyan government, which views the camp as a hotbed for terrorist recruitment, wants to close it, but has so far succumbed to pressure from the U.S. State Department and the international community to keep it open. close
