New York State of the State Preliminaries

The preliminary ceremonies of Governor Andrew Cuomo’s 2016 State of the State and Executive Budget Address at the Empire State Plaza Convention Center in Albany, New York, included an introduction of guests and the governor by the lieutenant governor, invocations, color presentation and pledge from the 109th Airlift Wing of the New York Air National Guard, and the national anthem sung by The Albanettes, a choir from Albany High School. The Senate and General Assembly were reported present. The preliminaries concluded with a video introduction of the governor, which included commendations from leaders of various sectors. close
