Governor Rick Snyder (R) delivered his annual state of the state address in the State House in Lansing, Michigan. Since April 2014, the town of Flint was facing an ongoing water crisis when a change in water source caused lead contamination of the city’s water supply. Governor Snyder apologized for the water crisis and vowed to fix it. He also outlined short-and long-term actions the government was doing to address the issue. Other issues he discussed included the need to fix what he called Michigan’s poor infrastructure and making more investments in public education. close
