United Kingdom public policy representatives from Google, Facebook, and Twitter testified at a British Home Affairs Committee hearing on their companies' approaches to countering terrorism. Topics included content reporting policies, cooperation with law enforcement, and how terrorists use social media as a recruitment tool.

The second panel dealt with the Syrian refugee crisis. The witnesses were representatives from two U.K. organizations dealing with the radicalization of young people.
