The annual winter meeting of the nation’s governors was held in Washington, DC. One of the sessions focused on job creation and economic strategies. Speakers included Jeffrey Finkle, the CEO of the International Economic Development Council who discussed his groups initiatives. Also addressing the governors was the founder of the sports apparel manufacturer Under Armour Kevin Plank, who shared his story about how he grew his company to a network now of over $4 billion. Moderating this discussion was the West Virginia Governor Earl Ray Tomblin who chairs the National Governors Association’s Economic Development and Commerce Committee. close
