Cameras recorded the activities of members of the Senate Armed Services Committee conducting a field investigation aboard ships at Norfolk Naval Base. The field investigation, which included interviews with personnel aboard the ships, was part of the committee’s study of proposals to lift the ban on homosexuals in the U.S. military.
