Secretary of Veteran Affairs Jesse Brown spoke at the National Press Club on the agenda for the Office of Veterans Affairs in the Clinton administration, which included health care concerns for American veterans and the office’s position on the proposed lifting of the ban on homosexuals in the military. He also discussed the Veterans Affairs budget, and the relationship of the Veterans Affairs office to the Clinton administration and veterans groups. Following his prepared remarks, Mr. Brown responded to questions from members of the audience. close
