John Perkins talked about his book The New Confessions of an Economic Hit Man, in which he shares stories about the work that economic operators do to cheat countries around the world out of trillions of dollars. He said this is done primarily by convincing targeted countries to take out loans to finance large construction and engineering projects that benefit U.S. corporations. When the countries are unable to pay back the loans, they become victim to creditors that demand the countries sell of their natural resources. This is an expanded version of Mr. Perkins' 2005 book, Confessions of an Economic Hit Man. close
