Two campaign ads for the 2016 Republican presidential nomination were shown ahead of the Wisconsin Republican primary on Tuesday, April 5, 2016.

The campaign ad “Suggest” released by the pro-Kasich super PAC New Day for America on March 23, 2016, emphasized that Governor Kasich (R-OH), not Donald Trump, was the candidate best suited to beat possible Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton in the general election.

The campaign ad “'Math' to Stop Donald Trump” released by the super PAC Club for Growth on March 24, 2016, emphasized that Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) was the only candidate that could stop Donald Trump from claiming the Republican nomination and therefore a vote for Governor Kasich (R-OH) instead of Senator Cruz that split the vote was actually a vote for Donald Trump. close
