Michael Hayden talked about his book, Playing to the Edge: American Intelligence in the Age of Terror, and offered his views on U.S. intelligence and national security concerns. He also answered questions on 2016 Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump’s remarks on waterboarding, the dispute between the FBI and Apple over access to iPhone encryption data, and the recent terrorist attacks in Brussels, Belgium.

General Hayden formerly served as the director ofthe National Security Agency (NSA) from 1999-2005, and the CIA from 2009-2009. close
