The New America Foundation hosted a forum on assessment in higher education. Kevin Carey made opening remarks, and then, Fredrik deBoer presented his research on writing assessment and educational testing. After Mr. deBoer’s remarks, Roger Benjamin joined in for a panel discussion on the pros and cons of assessment. One of the concerns covered at length was on test validation and measurement to determine success given all the different disciplines offered at a university. close
