The Heritage Foundation hosted a day-long event on the role of intelligence in national security and counterterrorism efforts. In the first panel discussion, former defense and intelligence officials from the George W. Bush and Obama administrations talked about how the intelligence community could improve its work by embracing innovation and enhancing cybersecurity. Members of the second panel focused on counterterrorism, information collection, and whether existing laws could remain effective with the constant development of new technology. close
