Panelists talked about race and gender. Panelists included Paul Beatty, author of The Sellout: A Novel; Cora Daniels, author of Impolite Conversations: On Race, Politics, Sex, Money, and Religion; and Wallace Ford, chair of the Department of Public Administration at Medgar Evers College.

“The Politics of Race and Gender in the Literature of Black Writers” was part of the 13th National Black Writers Conference, which took place from March 31-April 3, 2016, in New York City, and was sponsored by the Center for Black Literature at Medgar Evers College.
