Russia and America: Cold Snap or Permafrost? was one of the second-prize middle school winners in C-SPAN Classroom’s StudentCam documentary contest. The video was produced by En-Hua Holtz and Ethan Stewart, eighth graders at East Lyme Middle School in Niantic, Connecticut. The local cable company was Atlantic Broadband.

C-SPAN Classroom’s StudentCam video documentary contest is an annual national competition in which middle and high school students produce a documentary on a specific theme. The 2016 theme was “Road to the White House,” with students answering the question, “What issues do you want presidential candidates to discuss?” close
