In “Martin Luther King and the FBI” James Baker and David Garrow talked with Alvaro Bedoya about the nature of government surveillance on civil rights leaders such as the Reverend Martin Luther King, Jr. Mr. Baker said that the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act of 1978 was adopted in part to stop what happened to the Reverend King from happening to others. Due to technical difficulties a brief portion of this conversation is missing.
