Doris Meissner on Immigration Policy
At the end of the program, C-SPAN interviewed one of the protestors outside the Court building.
Doris Meissner talked about immigration deferred action programs such as the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) and Deferred Action for Parents of Americans (DAPA) programs. The Supreme Court that day was hearing oral argument in United States v. Texas, which challenges the DAPA’s deferment of the deportation of undocumented immigrants whose children are U.S. citizens or legal residents.
