The Gray Rhino
Michele Wucker talked about her book, The Gray Rhino: How to Recognize and Act on the Obvious Dangers We Ignore, about why society and governments fail to recognize and act on obvious dangers. In her book, Ms. Wucker defines the “Gray Rhino” as a high impact threat or risk that is predictable, but largely ignored. She pointed to the housing bubble of 2008, Greece’s financial crisis, the Hurricane Katrina aftermath, and the crisis in the Middle East as examples. close
