Marie Therese Dominguez, administrator of the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA), talked about safety concerns with oil and natural gas pipelines and the transportation of hazardous materials. Ms. Dominguez said that she would like to change the organizational structure at PHMSA and create an office of planning and analytics. She also discussed the launch of an Interagency Task Force on Natural Gas Storage Safety. The collaboration with the Department of Energy was in response to a 2015 methane leak at the Aliso Canyon storage facility in California. close
